A certification-tier course for those who supervise electrical work: 12 scenarios covering qualification checks, work permits, lockout, and boundary control before energized or de-energized work, validating 7 competencies. It builds the defensible sequence of supervisor calls that keep an electrical job authorized correctly.
Supervisor of Electrical Work is the leadership course for those who authorize, assign, and oversee electrical work — the P3 closer of the Electrical Safety family. Aligned with the Manitoba WSH Act, The Electricians' Licence Act, WSH Regulation MR 217/2006 Part 38, and CSA Z462, it builds the supervisor's authorization discipline: the supervisor signs the permit, assigns the people, and sets the boundary for work they will not personally watch — so the signature has to mean something.
Equip supervisors of electrical work to authorize, assign, and oversee it safely: verify qualification, confirm the electrically safe work condition, hold the job briefing, keep unqualified workers outside the boundaries, run the electrical safety program, and authorize energized work only as a justified, signed last resort — owning the signature and accountable for work they are not present to watch.

Confirm an electrically safe work condition was established (de-energized, locked out, tested) before non-energized work
Hold a job briefing before the work: hazards, boundaries, PPE, roles, and the emergency plan
Keep unqualified workers outside the approach and arc-flash boundaries with clear escort/keep-clear rules
Run the electrical safety program and own the authorization: refuse or stop work, accountable when not present
Course outline
The Signature: Authorizing Work You Won't Watch — The supervisor authorizes work they won't personally watch, so the signature must mean verification — and they own the accountability, the refusal, and the stop.
Verify Qualified — Never Assume the Crew — The supervisor confirms each assigned worker is qualified and competent for the specific task before they start — checked, not assumed from availability or "done it before".
The Safe Condition and the Job Briefing — Before non-energized work the supervisor confirms the electrically safe work condition was actually established, and holds a job briefing covering hazards, boundaries, PPE, roles, and the emergency plan.
Boundaries, the Unqualified, and Authorizing Energized Work — The supervisor keeps unqualified workers outside the approach and arc-flash boundaries, and authorizes energized work only as a justified, written last resort — signing the EEWP personally.
Running the Program and Owning the Accountability — The supervisor runs the electrical safety program — assessments, procedures, PPE, training records, audits — and owns the authorization: can refuse or stop work, and is accountable when not present.
