Certificate and renewal

Passing the final test issues a QR-verified certificate, valid for one year.

This certificate records completion of knowledge training for the designated spotter / signaller role, and it records the Trained state only. It does not authorize the holder to direct a machine's movement on a job. Before a worker acts as a spotter, the employer must designate them for the move and confirm on site that they give the standard hand signals and an unmistakable STOP the operator can read, and that they hold a position out of the machine path, swing and pinch zone and in the operator's view for a whole live move, and sign that observation off as Competent. That designation and on-site confirmation are renewed per the employer program. This training does not teach or authorize operating or driving a machine.
