What you will learn
Explain that the machine keeps time, not you — a production machine runs the same cycle a hundred times an hour, and safe operation is running with the safeguards, not around them; every bypass is borrowed against the next cycle
Operate only a machine you are trained and authorized on, know that machine's danger zones (where the point of operation, nip points, rotating parts and ejection are during the cycle) and its start-up, run and shut-down sequence
Name the safe alternative to each common bypass — a nuisance sensor (report / fix, never defeat), a slow feed (feed / push tool or jig, never fingers), a jam (stop and clear it right, LOTO first), a reset (confirm the zone is clear first)

This certificate records completion of awareness-level knowledge training in safe machine operation and the hazards of bypassing safeguards. It does not authorize the holder to operate any particular machine: a worker operates only a machine they have been trained and authorized on, which the employer arranges for that machine, and that machine's danger zones, operating cycle and written procedures always govern. This training does not create a safeguarding-inspector or supervisor-oversight designation, and it does not teach lockout/tagout.
